Teaching

Please note I work term time only.

Fees: £50 per hour. My fee includes time spent on admin, planning and preparation of resources outside of the teaching sessions.

Session 1: If I have not worked with your child before, there will be a charged initial assessment and information gathering session of 1 hour. 

Teaching blocks:

• An agreed number of teaching sessions of 1 hour, usually one per week. I usually plan for blocks to follow the school terms.
• Teaching dates and times for each block are agreed, invoiced and paid for in advance.
• I will share a teaching plan with agreed targets for the block in advance of the first teaching session.
• The block will be followed up with a short report reviewing progress against the set targets.

Cancellation Policy (Teaching)

If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. I will always try to offer an alternative date where possible but in the event that clients are unable to give at least 24 hours’ notice, the standard session fee will be charged for the cancelled session.

In exceptional circumstances I may be forced to reschedule a session. Should this occur then I will give as much notice to the client as possible.

Family Guidance Counselling

Sessions: I make use of a private therapy space in Blackheath Village, SE3, for counselling sessions. I am able to book sessions on an ad hoc basis but will always need to check their calendar for room availability before I can confirm appointments.

I am always happy to have a chat over the phone (free of charge) before we book in a first appointment, so you can ascertain that I am the right person for you to meet with for counselling.

Fees: £65 per 1 hour session.

Schools: I also offer school based family guidance counselling. Often on a half-day-per-week-basis, working 1:1 either with parents or with young people (secondary age). For more information about the packages I can offer to schools, please get in touch.

Cancellation Policy (Counselling)

Please give no less than 48 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend a session. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, you will still be charged for the session. This is because I am unlikely to be able to book in another client at short notice and still need to cover the room rental costs.

I will commit to attending all appointments that we arrange. There are times that I will not be available due to training events, annual holiday, external appointments etc. and I will give you a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice of these dates. There may also be occasions when I cannot give you your session because of illness and I will try to give you as much notice as possible of any cancellation.
